The Faculty Board of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies invite applications for the C.H.W. Johns Memorial Studentship. Candidates must be registered, or have applied for admission, as a full-time graduate student in the University, for a higher degree course or research in Assyriology or a closely related field. The Studentship will be awarded for a maximum of four years. The Studentship is worth approximately £4000 annually.

Graduates of any university are eligible and there is no citizenship requirement.

Applications, which should consist of a c.v., research proposal not exceeding 1,000 words, and a brief list of any other funding applied for, should be sent so as to arrive no later than
1 December annually to the Faculty Administrator, Faculty of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies, Sidgwick Avenue CB3 9DA, UK.

The Fund Managers will also consider smaller applications in aid of research in Assyriology and related fields once a year. These awards are available to undergraduate and
post-graduate students and to members of the university doing research in the relevant fields. Requests should be sent to the Faculty Administrator of the Faculty of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies by the closing date of 1 December annually.
