This is a one year course for graduate students involving study and training in research in Chinese Studies or who have taken Chinese as a major subject in a first degree programme.

Two Year MPhil

Thank you for your interest. The funding cycle for this course (2000-2010) will expire in 2010, and the Department of East Asian Studies is therefore no longer accepting new applicants for entry in October 2009. Applicants with no or little background in Chinese Studies who wish to pursue an M.Phil may still be able to do so in the 1 year course but are advised to contact a member of staff in their main area of interest before applying.
