Graduate Studies
The one year 'taught' course in Japanese Studies, leading to an M.Phil. is no longer available. Students intending to continue to a Ph.D. in Japanese Studies may be considered for admission to the M.Phil. "by dissertation only" as long as they are clearly of Ph.D. potential and need only minimal further training. Other applicants with an interest in studying Japan at M.Phil. level are recommended to consider the 'taught course' M.Phil. in East Asian Studies.
