I completed my MA in Arabic and Medieval History at St. Andrews University. After graduating in 2014, I worked as a literary and cultural translator and an Arabic tutor, and also spent some time in Lebanon conducting research for my current Master’s thesis. Although I work mainly with classical Arabic at the moment, I also love modern Arabic literature, and enjoy translating short stories and poetry in my spare time.
Subject groups/Research projects
I am particularly interested in the Arabic literature of Middle Eastern Christians in the pre-modern period. My Masters research will focus on rare examples of spiritual poetry in the Christian-Arabic tradition.
