Shahla Suleiman taught all levels of Arabic at the University of Edinburgh 1996 - 2010, coordinated Arabic language teaching and was responsible for the year abroad program. In 2003-2009 she worked as the director and project manager of an educational consultancy that undertook extensive work in various Arabic language teaching reform initiatives in the Middle East.
Shahla Suleiman also worked as a project manager of ‘Narratives of Conversion in Islam in Britain- Female Perspectives’.
Shahla Suleiman obtained a B.Sc. in Mathematics (Hons) as well as a Diploma in Education from Yarmouk University, Jordan and a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (Research) from University of St Andrews.
