Introduction

The library holds a number of archive collections, comprising records of institutions and papers of individuals connected with Egypt, the Middle East and Asia. The collections date mainly from from the 19th and 20th centuries and are particularly strong in the areas of Pali studies and Egyptology.

Archives are only available to researchers by prior appointment in the reading room of the library during normal opening hours. Please note that we are unable to provide copies of any of the archive material. Enquiries about access should be addressed to the Librarian.
