Biographical Details
Professor D. L. McMullen works in the intellectual and institutional history of the medieval period in China. He has published 'State and Scholars in Tang China' (Cambridge, 1988) and other studies on the medieval bureaucracy. He is currently working on medieval religious cults and newly published epigraphical sources from the Tang dynasty (AD 618-907).
