Applications for all graduate courses at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies are made via the University's Graduate Admissions Office. Before applying, you should ensure that you are aware of the admission requirements relating to your proposed course of study or research.

Graduate students in this program must have very good knowledge of Modern Japanese and/or Modern Chinese and/or Modern Korean, both oral and written.
Students taking the course will be expected to have at least BA II.i level command of Chinese or Korean or Japanese. Many will have completed a BA in one of these subjects. Academically qualified native speakers of any one of those languages will be welcome, provided that they have a sufficient command of English.
