MPhil Online Open Day

We are delighted to welcome interested students to our MPhil Open Day, which will take place online on Thursday 17th September 2026 at the following times:

East Asian Studies – 12.00 – 13.30 BST

Middle Eastern Studies – 17.00 – 18.30 BST

The Open Day will take place online, and is a chance for potential students to learn more about the MPhil pathways we offer in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. We offer a distinctive interdisciplinary approach to the study of East Asia and the Middle East through critical engagement with the region’s languages, history, politics, literature, religion, philosophy, and culture. An MPhil in Asian and Middle Eastern studies is an in-depth dive into a fascinating world, and our Faculty is home to significant research across a huge array of subjects and disciplines.

Our MPhil Pathways include Chinese Studies, East Asian Popular Culture Across Time, Muslim-Jewish Relations, and Hebrew and Semitic Studies. Join us online to speak with course directors and ask questions about the programme, and why it might be the perfect next step for you.
