Useful tool to keep up-to-date with the publications of the latest articles in your field.
As soon as a new issue of an e-journal you have subscribed to via ZETOC for alert is uploaded (published), ZETOC sends you emails, listing the table of contents for you to browse through. Then, if you are interested in an article, you can access the journal via the University Library's Electronic Journals page. You have to be a member of participating UK universities to subscribe to this free British Library service

 Tools to locate online articles

Google Advanced Scholar
Excellent tool to locate online articles. It searches JSTOR as well as databases holding the most recent issues of journals. Gives abstracts. Recognises IP addresses if Cambridge susbscribes to full text and provides direct access.

Periodicals Index Online (PIO)
is a database of millions of article citations published in the arts, humanities and social sciences, across more than 300 years. It enables students and researchers to locate articles relevant to their particular field of study, reducing what could involve years of research to a matter of minutes. Coverage is usually until 1995 only.
