Dror Burstein is, among other things, poet, culture critic, teacher, and most importantly, an exciting and profound young author whose works deal with the legacy of Hebrew literature, with authenticity and reproduction, as well as modern prophecy and moralism in the age of globalism. Burstein won several prestigious awards in Israel: the Jerusalem Prize for Literature (1997), the Ministry of Science and Culture Prize for Poetry (2002), the Bernstein Prize for his novel,Avner Brenner (2005) and the Prime Minister`s Prize (2006). Mr. Burstein will read selections from his works and discuss them with Yaron Peleg, Kennedy Leigh Lecturer in Modern Hebrew Studies.
