Dr Laura Moretti is to receive one of this year's Pilkington Prizes in recognition of her contribution to excellence in teaching at Cambridge

We are delighted to announce that Dr Laura Moretti is to receive one of this year's Pilkington Prizes in recognition of her contribution to excellence in teaching at Cambridge.

The Pilkington Prize awards were endowed and inaugurated in 1994 by Sir Alastair Pilkington to acknowledge excellence in teaching. The prizes are awarded to individuals who make an outstanding contribution to the teaching programme of a Department, Faculty or the University as a whole.

Each year, Heads of School select two nominations from a pool put forward by Faculties / Departments, with supporting evidence which includes student feedback, commentary by colleagues on the qualities of the contribution and a report from the Head of Department or equivalent.

The Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education confirms awards. This year, thirteen prizes of £1,000 each will be awarded at a ceremony on Tuesday 25 June in Girton College.

The Pilkington Prizes are now co-ordinated by the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning. Further information about the Prizes, including a full list of Prizewinners, may be found at https://www.cctl.cam.ac.uk/pilkington-prize
