Over the years at Cambridge we have been working with rakugo master Tatekawa Shinoharu. As part of this wonderful collaboration, master Shinoharu has created original pieces of shinsaku rakugo inspired by the early modern stories of the quack doctor Chikusai.
Join us for a bubbly event on 2 February 2023, 8pm (Japanese Standard Time) for a double performance (Chikusai-inspired shinsaku rakugo and Shinigami as koten rakugo) followed by a dialogue with master Shinoharu on this experience.
The price for a full ticket is 2000yen (ca. £13), but students (undergrads and grads) can buy a ticket at half price. I hope that many of you can join. The event will be online and entirely in Japanese.
