Enrico Crema is a University Lecturer in Computational Analysis of Long-Term Human Cultural and Biological Dynamics at the Department of Archaeology. His research interest focuses on the use and development of computational and quantitative methods, which he applied to investigate the settlement pattern and demography of prehistoric hunter-gatherers in Japan. He has been recently awarded an ERC grant on the "Demography, Cultural change, and the Diffusion of Rice and Millet during the Jomon-Yayoi transition in prehistoric Japan".
