SLURP in Chinese!

Chinese Slurp CoverA version of SLURP: a social and culinary history of ramen-japan's favorite noodle soup, Barak Kushner's book on the history of ramen originally published by Brill in 2012 (paperback 2014) is now out in a traditional Chinese translation as 『拉麵的驚奇之旅』(譯者陳正杰)台北:允晨文化出版社. Those who read the language might enjoy this version as well. Bon appetit!

Dr Barak Kushner is Reader in Japanese History at the Faculty of Asian & Middle eastern Studies and leads the 5-year ERC project The Dissolution of the Japanese Empire and the Struggle for Legitimacy in Postwar East Asia
