The Body as a Vessel - a new Translation of Mikami Kayo

PhD student in Japanese Ms Rosa van Hensbergen visited Japan recently to attend the launch of her translation of butoh practitioner and scholar Mikami Kayo's book Utsuwa to shite no shintai: Hijikata Tatsumi ankoku buto giho e no apurochi. The translation, titled The Body as a Vessel: Approaching the Methodology of Hijikata Tatsumi's Ankoku Butô (2016), is now available from Ozaru Books
