Biography:
John Moffett is a graduate of the Chinese Studies Department, Edinburgh University. He has been Librarian of the East Asian History of Science Library at the NRI since September 1992. He has served or is serving on various professional committees, including:
- CULAG (Cambridge University Library Automation Group), 1992 -
- CLG ([UK] China Library Group), 1992- (currently serving as Chairman)
- NCOLR (National Council for Oriental Library Resources) executive committee, 2004-2008
- UCCL (Universities' China Committee in London) executive council, 2001-2004, 2006-2008
