The Open Day experience
A typical AMES Open Day introduces you to our outstanding learning environment, academic community, and the different aspects of life and study within the Faculty.
Whether you are a prospective student, parent, teacher, or simply curious about the subjects we study, there are many ways to engage with the day. Throughout your visit, you will be invited to take part in activities such as:
Subject talks and sample lectures
Language taster sessions
Student Q&A opportunities
Alumni and careers conversations
Information about applying to Cambridge
Tours of the Faculty and Sidgwick Site

Do I need to register?
Yes, registration is required for all attendees.
Can teachers or parents attend?
Yes, teachers and supporters are welcome to attend.
Is the event free?
Yes, all Open Day activities are free to attend.
Where is the Faculty located?
The Faculty is based on the Sidgwick Site in Cambridge. You can view the location on the University map or take a virtual tour of the Faculty before your visit.
Will sessions be recorded?
Our Open Days are not normally recorded. Participants are encouraged to attend the sessions live in order to take part fully in discussions and activities.
