Dr Elizabeth Monier was presented with the Gulf Studies Journal Article Award earlier this year at the GSS Opening Ceremony.
Dr Elizabeth Monier recieved the Gulf Studies Journal Article Award 2025, which was presented at the Gulf Studies Symposium held at Georgetown University, Washington on April 10th. This award was for her article ‘Religious Tolerance in the Arab Gulf States: Christian Organisations, Soft Power, and the Politics of Sustaining the “family-state” beyond the Rentier Model’, published in the Journal of Politics and Religion. In addition, a former FAMES student, Felix Matheson, received the Graduate Paper Award.
