Professor Khan is currently preparing an edition and historical analysis of a corpus of medieval Arabic documents datable to the Fatimid period that were discovered in Qaṣr Ibrīm (Nubia) by the Egypt Exploration Society. They relate in particular to trade and diplomatic relations between the Fatimids and the Christian kingdom of Nubia. The project will result in the publication of a book and a variety of articles.
