It is with great pleasure that we would like to invite you to the virtual conference The Digital Turn in Early Modern Japanese Studies, which will take place on Zoom between 2 and 4 December 2022.

We look forward to welcoming you, albeit in a virtual environment.

Please also make a note of the times of the presentations, as they change day per day. All times are in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). We apologize if the times are not particularly friendly for us in the UK, but you can appreciate that we need to take into consideration the time zones of the speakers. For more details, please refer to the programme as advertised on our website.

All details and the registration form can be found on the conference website:

Prof Hashimoto Yuta and hopefully Dr James Morris will join in person. Some of our postgraduate students are also presenting.

For colleagues and students in Cambridge, we will be able to welcome you in the Faculty building, although the majority of the talks will be on the screen. If you wish to join in person, please fill in the following Google form. (please note this option is only for students and staff of the University) https://forms.gle/PPCRWvgyrd2pZrQE6

It would be really helpful to know how many of you intend to take part in person.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event.

Best wishes,

Yuta Hashimoto, Laura Moretti, James Morris
