Congratulations to our students for their excellent performance at The Eighteenth Japanese Speech Contest for University Students, held on Saturday 4 March 2023

The contest, hosted by the British Association for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language and the Japan Foundation, in collaboration with Kings College London, sees undergraduate students from across the UK compete in three speech categories: Individual Presentation Category, Speech Category and Group Presentation Category.

We are delighted to share the news that Cambridge Japanese Studies students presented in both the Individual and Group categories.

In the Individual Presentation Category, Patricia Szeto (1st year) took first prize for her presentation:  香港の風水文化 Fengshui Belief in Hong Kong

Finalists in the Group Presentation Category,  Millie Fuller, Alex Brow, Emily Kitcat and Nikita Lopatinsky (all 1st Year) impressed the judges with their presentation: 一番好きなイギリスのデザート Our Favourite British Desserts
