Prof Laura Moretti has been invited to give a lecture at the University of Pennsylvania's Workshop in the History of Material Texts. Founded by Peter Stallybrass in 1993, this lecture series is now in its thirty-first year. The lecture, delivered on 9 September 2024, is titled "Engineered for Action: Movable Books in Early Nineteenth-Century Japan."
