Ibn al-Muʿtazz (d. 908) was an Abbasid caliph, poet, man of letters, and courtier. This volume presents a new edition and translation of his poems describing hunting with falcons, hawks, cheetahs and salukis. It will also include a new edition and translation of the long hunting poem by the Syrian warlord and poet, Abū Firās (d. 968).
