The University Library offers many resources which may be of interest to our students, much of which is searchable on their core database, iDiscover.

Subject and Region Specific Resources

  • The University Library has collections specific to Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, as well as collections from organisations such as the Royal Commonwealth Society. Along with information on accessing the collections themselves, these webpages contain information about further suggested online resources. 

Cambridge Digital Library

  • The University's digital library is a portal to "digitised material and research outputs from the University of Cambridge and beyond".

Inter-Library Loan Department

  • The Inter-Library Loan department allows students and staff to order books and journals. Staff and PhD students of the Faculty can order inter-library books through the Faculty Librarian.

Libguides

  • A comprehensive record of library databases made availiable via the University Library with accompanying usage guides. Records are searchable by type and by subject. 

iDisover Search Advice - Chinese

  • iDiscover can be searched in Chinese but transliteration is advised since not all bibliographic records have been updated to include Chinese script.
