Biography:

Hsiaoching has been teaching Chinese since 2008. She has taught children and adults at various levels at the China Institute in New York, as well as GCSE and A Levels in Cambridge UK. She holds a MA linguistics from UCL and is also a PhD candidate of Chinese Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, she has significantly contributed translations of lexical terms, covering both simplified and traditional versions, to the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary (English-Chinese).

Her interests lie in theoretical/experimental linguistics, Chinese linguistics and Second Language Acquisition, as well as Chinese second-language pedagogy in a theoretical linguistic approach.
